As part of the Development team, Julie will manage a donor portfolio of alums, parents, and friends to secure philanthropic support from individuals capable of making gifts of six figures and higher, enabling the advancement of College priorities laid out in the MHC Forward strategic plan.

Julie joins Mount Holyoke from The Posse Foundation in Boston where she served as Senior Development Officer, responsible for raising more than $1.5 million annually. In that role, Julie led the site’s entire fundraising operation, utilizing a comprehensive strategy to secure individual, corporate, and foundation support to achieve annual contributed revenue goals. Julie worked closely with the Advisory Board, site leaders, and dedicated Posse alum volunteers, whose support was critical to sustaining and growing the site’s annual operating budget.

Prior to Posse Boston, Julie served as Development and Events Coordinator at EdVestors, where she honed her skills in donor communications, prospect research, and Salesforce platform enablement, resulting in enhanced grant success, increased event revenue, and data analysis to drive higher levels of giving.

As a Posse Foundation alum herself and guided by a commitment to education, Julie brings an equity lens consistent with the values and mission of Mount Holyoke College. Julie’s experience building and sustaining a culture of philanthropy among Posse Foundation alums and staff provides a strong platform for growth at Mount Holyoke.

Known for her creative and maximizing approach to identifying fundraising opportunities, Julie is excited to contribute to Mount Holyoke’s inclusive approach to fundraising and donor engagement. As a student, Julie dedicated time to interning with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Mathematics from Denison University, where she was the recipient of numerous academic awards.
