As a senior member of the Development team, Jesus will manage a donor portfolio of alums, parents, and friends to secure philanthropic support from individuals capable of making gifts of six and seven figures and higher, enabling the advancement of College priorities laid out in the MHC Forward strategic plan.

Jesus joins Mount Holyoke from the Oregon State University Foundation, where he served as Associate Director of Development for Scholarships and University Initiatives. Over the course of Jesus’s seven-year tenure fundraising on behalf of Oregon’s premier comprehensive research university, he rose through positions of increasing responsibility, securing more than $3 million in philanthropic resources in support of presidential university-wide priorities during the University’s $1.75 billion Believe It campaign.

At Oregon State, Jesus helped to pioneer several groundbreaking fundraising strategies and programs, including the launch of the University’s first giving day in 2019, a new donor society called the student success society, and the expansion of on-campus donor engagement with staff and students through specialized campus tours and events.

As a first-generation college graduate, Jesus is committed to the values and mission of Mount Holyoke College. As an emerging leader in the fundraising profession, Jesus devotes significant volunteer time to programs in support of professionals of color and wider inclusion initiatives with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the African American Development Officers Network (AADO).

Known for his responsive, authentic, and engaging style, Jesus is eager to join the close-knit, values-driven community of Mount Holyoke. Jesus earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas State University, where he currently serves as a volunteer Alumni Director at Large.
