What excites you about Talent Citizen?

Our work is transformative and our partnerships truly collaborative. We are purposeful in accessing our cross-sectoral networks, and we recruit leaders who champion change to address the root causes of inequity. We emphasize antiracist principles, transparency, and reimagining talent acquisition practices to advance equity at all levels—from candidates to clients, their own teams, and field building efforts.

What makes this work important to you?

Building a team, welcoming a new team member, or switching careers can feel vulnerable. I love working with clients and candidates in an authentic and iterative way. Making the search process clear and accessible is our best tool to ensure equity and uncover talent across sectors and professional tracks.

Transparency is a core value for me and the Talent Citizen team. We’re exploring what transparency means related to search process and our relationships with candidates and clients but also on an ecosystem level. I see myself as a gate opener and invite open conversation that builds meaningful connection.

What books are on your TBR shelf?

I love microhistory books—social histories of just one thing. My favorites include The Library: A Fragile History and Finding Zero: A Mathematician’s Odyssey to Uncover the Origins of Numbers.

Speculative Fiction is my favorite genre, so you’ll always find books by Jasper Fforde, Martha Wells, and TJ Klune.

If you’re looking to recruit professionals for your organization, I’d be happy to connect with you! Feel free to email me about your favorite book at the moment.

We’re always curious to hear what leaders are tackling and happy to share about our own work. Send me a message and let’s start a dialogue.
