Talent Citizen congratulates Lori Correale on her appointment as Senior Major Gift Officer, Parent & Family Philanthropy at Boston University, effective July 21, 2025. In this position, Lori will manage a donor portfolio and work in partnership with Director, Parent & Family Philanthropy Brian Denning to grow and engage the community of parents and family members passionate about philanthropically supporting current and future generations of Terriers.

A proud BU alumna, Lori brings more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, volunteer management, community engagement, and marketing across a variety of mission-driven organizations. Lori joins BU from Rockport Music-Shalin Liu Performance Center, where she served as Director of Development and led a team responsible for raising vital funds to support its mission of inspiring a love and understanding of music through exceptional performances and educational programs. During the last six years, Lori expanded the major donor base and strengthened the annual fund, working directly with Rockport Music’s CEO and members of the Board of Trustees.

Prior to Rockport Music, as Director of Major Gifts at Oxfam America, Lori managed a team of fundraisers and a portfolio of major donors supporting global development projects during a multi-million-dollar campaign.  Previously, Lori worked at The Governor’s Academy, where she expanded the Parents Fund and laid the foundation for a capital campaign as Director of Advancement. Lori joined The Governor’s Academy after a 13-year tenure at MIT Sloan School of Management in roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her role as Director of Alumni Giving.

Throughout her career, Lori has demonstrated a consistent ability to collaborate effectively with major donors, senior leaders, boards, and volunteers. She excels at developing strategic fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships, and leading teams to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Lori is excited to rejoin her alma mater, where she earned a Bachelor of Science from Boston University College of Communication and then began her career in development as an alumni relations and gift officer for the College of Engineering and the School of Education.
