Headshot of Sarah Aguirre OrigerSarah serves as the organizational lynchpin, coordinating efforts between the New Pluralists team, the Field Builder community, grantees, and the collaborative’s fiscal sponsor, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.

Sarah is from northern Indiana and has a background in place-based philanthropy and community foundation strategy. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Political Science and is pursuing a graduate degree in philanthropic studies with the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Prior to the New Pluralists, Sarah served as the Director of GIFT Programming at the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance where she provided programming and technical assistance to Indiana’s 94 community foundations; she also served as a “navigator” for community leadership work related to the GIFT VII grant initiative of the Lilly Endowment Inc. Sarah has also worked at the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, a Washington DC think tank, and the Colorado State House of Representatives.
