As AVP, Lyndsey will report to Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs David Ripple and lead Wayne State’s Alumni Relations team in service to more than 300,000 living alumni.

Lyndsey brings significant experience in Alumni Relations to Wayne State University. Lyndsey previously served for ten years as Assistant Vice President for Alumni and Community Relations at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) where she was responsible for the alumni association, alumni and development communication, constituent and community relations, and university events and ceremonies. Lyndsey’s integrated model of leadership led to strong collaboration with campus partners and key teams within advancement, including annual giving, advancement services, and major gifts. One of Lyndsey’s signature achievements at UNC is the creation of a public alumni employment dashboard that is searchable and sortable by any number of criteria to demonstrate long-term career outcomes and return on educational investment. As a senior leader in advancement, Lyndsey managed a stewardship portfolio of current and former board members and trustees while managing the philanthropic alumni board. Lyndsey also leveraged alumni relationships to enhance university-community integration through strategic sponsorships, university-city co-led branding campaigns and events, the Bear Biz business partnerships program, and the Bears Hire Bears employer engagement campaign.

Prior to joining UNC, Lyndsey held positions of increasing responsibility over seven years at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, including serving as Senior Director of Communication and External Relations for the School of Dental Medicine and as Assistant Dean for Advancement for the Colorado School of Public Health, an institution formed through collaboration among three Colorado public universities. Earlier in her career, Lyndsey was Director of Alumni Communication for the University of Denver.

Lyndsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Lyndsey is a 2022 Fulbright Scholar, awarded through Fulbright Germany to enhance international partnerships and capacity in global alumni relations and career mobility. She earned a Professional Fundraising Certificate from Boston University Metropolitan College, where she remains an active program mentor to current students.

Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Lyndsey’s unwavering belief in the power of public higher education to eliminate disparities and offer social mobility underscores her enthusiasm for the mission of Wayne State University and its impact on the Motor City. An active member of her community, Lyndsey’s extensive volunteer activities include leadership service in behalf of the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce, Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County, NoCo Works, and the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball.
