Gift Planning Officer
Mount Holyoke College
Talent Citizen congratulates Katherine Ingram on her appointment as Gift Planning Officer at Mount Holyoke College, effective May 4, 2026. As a senior member of the Gift Planning team, Katherine will manage a wide-ranging donor portfolio to secure blended and deferred philanthropic support from individuals interested in legacy impact, enabling the advancement of College priorities laid out in the MHC Forward strategic plan.
Katherine joins Mount Holyoke from Yale University’s School of Public Health, where she served as Associate Director of Development & Alumni Affairs. Katherine’s career at Yale began in 1994 and progressed through several positions in administration, student affairs, and, primarily, fundraising. A consummate university citizen, Katherine’s earliest fundraising roles were centrally based, supporting the entire university, before then progressing to roles at Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of Nursing, the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, Yale School of Drama, and Yale School of Management, before joining Yale School of Public Health in 2019. The cumulative impact of Katherine’s dedication to Yale University is significant, resulting in millions of dollars of philanthropic support, strong alumni networks, and dedicated volunteer leaders.
Prior to Yale, Katherine began her career as a writer for women’s sports magazines and was Assistant Director of Public and Media Relations for the Atlanta Hawks NBA team.
Known for her energetic optimism and prodigious writing skills as much as for her deep listening and compassionate nature, Katherine builds long-term relationships of trust with a curious and open-minded disposition, sparking conversations about legacy that can be achieved through philanthropic giving.
As a dedicated alum of Mount Holyoke College, Katherine is eager to contribute her significant experience as a fundraiser in support of the vision, values, and mission of her alma mater. Katherine earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount Holyoke College, where she was a member of the basketball and softball teams. As an alum, Katherine has enjoyed going back and giving back, and looks forward to connecting with alums who wish to deepen their legacy at MHC through gift planning.
