New Mexico State University Welcomes Connor Adams as Director of Development for Major Gifts
Talent Citizen is pleased to announce the appointment of Connor J. Adams as the Lead University Advancement Development Officer at New Mexico State University Foundation.
As an experienced university and education fundraiser, Connor is passionate about the power of education as a key pillar of growth, success, and life, particularly its ability to serve as an agent for social change and the creation of collaborative communities. His strategic approach to fundraising as well as his practice of relationship building with donors will make him an important asset in his new position. His empathetic approach to philanthropy work can be seen in his previous success.
After earning his Masters degree in Student Affairs Administration from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR, Connor began his career as the Alumni Outreach Coordinator for the Portland State University Foundation before further developing his skills and being promoted as the Special Gifts Officer for the PSU Foundation. He previously served as the Director of Development for the College of Nursing and the School of Engineering at the University of New Mexico Foundation.
Most recently, Connor served as the Director of Philanthropy for the Bosque School, a private 6-12th grade independent school in Albuquerque, NM. As the primary fundraiser, Connor succeeded in bringing the community together to achieve financial goals, reduce attrition rates, and improve staff giving despite the global coronavirus pandemic.
In his new role as the Director of Development for Major Gifts at New Mexico State University Foundation, Connor will be responsible for building relationships with major donors while playing a critical role in identifying opportunities to support community impact, especially for students and faculty as well as successfully helping to align passions and financial resources to achieve the larger goals of the University. We look forward to Connor’s continued success in partnership with New Mexico State University Foundation.
